FORNEY, Texas — A Forney family has been displaced after a reported kitchen grease fire on Wednesday evening.
Just after 5:40 p.m., the Forney Fire Department responded to the fire in the 900 block of White Porch Avenue in the Fox Hollow neighborhood of Forney.
Upon their arrival, firefighters reported smoke coming from the front of the home.
The residents had safely evacuated prior to the fire departments arrival and no injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished but not before the kitchen sustained smoke and fire damage. Nearby areas of the home also sustained smoke and water damage.
The Forney Fire Department’s Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
