FORNEY, Texas (Forney Independent School District) — On Friday, Nov. 4, Forney High School and North Forney High School will face off against each other in the 5th Annual Unity Bowl. The Unity Bowl is an opportunity to unite the community on one night, at one location to cheer on their favorite teams.
FORNEY, Texas (Forney Independent School District) — On Friday, Nov. 4, Forney High School and North Forney High School will face off against each other in the 5th Annual Unity Bowl. The Unity Bowl is an opportunity to unite the community on one night, at one location to cheer on their favorite teams.
Forney ISD will also hold the 5th Annual Unity Bowl Canned Food Drive in association with the Unity Bowl game. Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 25, every school in Forney ISD will begin collecting canned food donations from students, parents and community members that will be donated to the Forney Food Pantry.
This year Forney ISD will hold a competition between campuses. The elementary school that has the highest percentage of donations based on the number of students enrolled in the school will win the Elementary School Unity Bowl Food Drive Trophy and earn an extra jean day to use during the school year. In addition, the secondary school that gets the highest percentage of donations based on the number of students enrolled in the school will win the Secondary School Unity Bowl Food Drive Trophy and also earn an extra jean day.
The Forney ISD Unity Bowl Canned Food Drive begins on Tuesday, Oct. 25 and ends on Friday, Nov. 4, the day of the Unity Bowl Game.
