FORNEY, Texas — Firefighters from the Forney Fire Department and Mesquite Fire Department extinguished several roadside grass fires on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 1:40 p.m., four separate roadside fires were reported on eastbound Interstate 20 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 740.
Firefighters with the Forney Fire Department and Mesquite Fire Departments extinguished the grass fires by 2:10 p.m.
The Mesquite Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety were also on scene for traffic control.
