FORNEY, Texas — [DEVELOPING] A portion of Farm-to-Market (FM) 741 was closed due to a fatal motorcycle crash Wednesday night.
The crash was reported just after 6 p.m. on FM 741 in front of Forney High School and involved a van and a motorcycle.
First responding officers reported the motorcyclist was pinned underneath the van and requested a CareFlite medical helicopter on standby. The helicopter was later canceled.
The motorcyclist was traveling south in the 800 block of FM 741 when a female, traveling northbound in a van, turned in front of the motorcycle as she attempted to enter the Forney High School parking lot, according to the Forney Police Department.
Police confirm the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
FM 741 has been closed between Monitor Boulevard and the entrance to Forney High School. Police are asking motorist to avoid the area.
