FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department swore in a new police officer earlier today.

Officer J Bain was sworn in earlier today by Forney Municipal Court Judge Margaret E. Spain.

“We would like to welcome our newest addition to the Forney Police Dept family, Officer J Bain,” the department stated on Facebook. “Congratulations as you begin your law enforcement career!”

The department swore in a new police chief earlier this year, pictured above left, Chief Robert Sherwin, a former Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief. Sherwin replaced retiring, long-time Chief Rick Barnes.
