FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Professional Firefighters Association will host a CrossFit competition and fish fry benefit for a new member of their fire service family, baby Jamie Lea Barkham, who was recently born with a heart condition.

FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Professional Firefighters Association will host a CrossFit competition and fish fry benefit for a new member of their fire service family, baby Jamie Lea Barkham, who was recently born with a heart condition.

Jamie Lea Barkham is the daughter to firefighter parents Jacob and Kaci Barkham. Her grandfather, Jamie Barkham, recently passed away following nearly 30 years in the fire service with the Forney Volunteer Fire Department and was posthumously named the 2016 Citizen of the Year.

The benefit will be held at the Mick Spellman Amphitheater within the Forney Community Park on July 15, 2017, at 8 a.m.

CrossFit South Forney will host a “Hometown Throwdown” CrossFit competition with 52 registered teams, vendor booths, and the fish fry.

All proceeds will benefit Jamie Lea Barkham who was recently born with a heart condition which will require multiple surgeries and extended care.
