GUN BARREL CITY, Texas — Four people were rescued on Sunday after their boat sank on Cedar Creek Reservoir.
Game wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department made the rescue yesterday and towed the partially submerged boat back to shore where a wrecker recovered it from the lake.
"Due to high winds, the vessel sank quickly once the hull took on water, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department stated. "The group was clinging to a drifting tube when located."
No injuries were reported.
No other information was immediately available.
On Friday, a boating accident on Cedar Creek Reservoir claimed the life of a nine-year-old Henderson County girl. Funds are being accepted for the family to assist in funeral expenses.
