Just days before Christmas, Garland Police were alerted to a series of package thefts occurring on the porches of two homes. With critical information provided by the victims and the diligent efforts of detectives, authorities identified the suspect as 37-year-old William Lloyd Scott from Mesquite, along with the vehicle he used in the thefts.
Garland detectives secured two warrants for Theft of Property, citing Scott's prior convictions.
On January 8th, Rowlett Police officers successfully located Scott in the vehicle and arrested him based on the outstanding warrants.
The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to determine whether Scott may be linked to additional thefts in the area.
