FORNEY, Texas — A portion of Helms Trail will be closed next week for construction, according to Kaufman County Precinct 2 Commissioner Skeet Phillips.

FORNEY, Texas — A portion of Helms Trail will be closed next week for construction, according to Kaufman County Precinct 2 Commissioner Skeet Phillips.

Helms Trail between Bantry Lane and Blarney Stone Way on Monday, June 21, 2016, and Tuesday, June 22, 2016.

Precinct 2 Road and Bridge crews will be replacing the culvert under Helms Trail for a larger culvert, Phillips told inForney.com.

Earlier this month, flash flooding caused the road to be closed and damaged nearby residences. Next week’s repairs are being described as emergency repairs.
