TERRELL, Texas — A large pothole on eastbound Interstate 20 in Terrell degraded Monday afternoon, forming a hole in an overpass, and forced the closure of the highway.
Eastbound motorists are being diverted off eastbound Interstate 20 at Farm-to-Market (FM) 148 in Terrell. The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office and Terrell Police Department are assisting in traffic control in the area.
Texas Department of Transportation crews are on scene making repairs to the highway.
Traffic is backed up approximately four miles.
Construction on westbound Interstate 20 near Rose Hill Road, also in Terrell, has one lane closed which is also causing major delays.
