FORNEY, Texas — A home was destroyed in an overnight fire north of Forney and one person was injured and transported to a Dallas-area hospital.
FORNEY, Texas — A home was destroyed in an overnight fire north of Forney and one person was injured and transported to a Dallas-area hospital.
The fire was reported just before midnight in the 8000 block of Ridge Road which is located north of the Forney city limits off of Valley View.
Upon arrival, firefighters reported the home was fully involved. Mutual aid was requested from Crandall, Terrell, and McLendon-Chisholm.
One male resident was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, by CareFlite ambulance having reportedly suffered burn-related injuries.
Several of the family pets were accounted for as firefighters arrived on scene. Its unknown if they have all been accounted for at the time of press.
The Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene and will be investigating the cause of the fire.
The American Red Cross was requested at the scene.
