KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A collision caused a boat to dislodge from its trailer and fall onto another vehicle Tuesday night which led to the closure of westbound Interstate 20.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — A collision caused a boat to dislodge from its trailer and fall onto another vehicle Tuesday night which led to the closure of westbound Interstate 20.
The crash was reported at approximately 9:50 p.m. on westbound Interstate 20 just west of Farm-to-Market (FM) 429.
A truck was hauling the boat on a trailer when it was struck by a vehicle which caused the boat to fall onto and crush another vehicle.
The wreck forced the closure of westbound Interstate 20 which reopened at around midnight. All westbound traffic was diverted off at the FM 429 exit and back on the highway just past the wreck.
No injuries were reported in the wreck.
The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department, CareFlite, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
