KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The burn ban for Kaufman County has been rescinded following a declaration earlier this morning at the Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court meeting.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The burn ban for Kaufman County has been rescinded following a declaration earlier this morning at the Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court meeting.
Kaufman County Fire Marshal Randy Richards made the recommendation to rescind the burn ban this morning and Kaufman County Judge Bruce Wood declared it rescinded during the routine correspondence portion of Monday morning’s Kaufman County Commissioners’ Court meeting.
Brush, branches, limbs, leaves and unpainted or untreated lumber are the only items that can be burned on open ground when there is not a burn ban, according to the Kaufman County Fire Marshal’s Office website. Burning must be performed during daylight and proper precautions should be taken to ensure to safe fire.
