On Sunday, the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department and CareFlite responded to a home in the 7700 block of County Road 136 just east of Terrell, Texas, for a child who had drowned in a family pool.
Firefighters and EMS performed CPR on the child who was later flown by CareFlite to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he was pronounced deceased.
Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Captain Fred Klingelberger says the department is investigating the drowning and says investigators do not suspect any foul play.
The child was three years old, according to Klingelberger.
