John Manning, CPA, gave the Kaufman County commissioners court report on the financial stability of the county at a recent regular meeting of the court on July 11, 2016.
The ending fund balance in the General Operating Fund showed an increase of $750,348 to a total of $2,226,146 as of September 30, 2015.
The ending road and bridge fund balance at the end of the same period showed an increase of $329,897 to a total of $2,519,810 dollars as of September 2015.
Kaufman County Judge Bruce Wood was pleased with the report and said that commissioners, other elected officials, and department heads had worked diligently over the past years to improve Kaufman County's financial standing and now the results of this effort are continuing to show progress.
