FORNEY, Texas — A Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained minor injuries following a crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 on Monday morning.
The crash was reported at approximately 7 a.m. on FM 1641 at Helms Trail and involved two vehicles — the deputy’s patrol vehicle and a Nissan Titan pickup truck.
The deputy, a school resource officer, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Kaufman, Texas, with minor injuries, according to Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jolie Stewart.
No injuries were reported for the individuals in the pickup truck.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
No citations were immediately issued pending further investigation, according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Trooper Kyle Bradford.
