OAK RIDGE, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting in the Oak Ridge area on Saturday morning.
Around 6 a.m., police say a 42-year-old man was shot outside of a relative's residence in the 4900 block of Abner Road in Oak Ridge.
The victim was shot by an unknown person in what was described as a dark-colored vehicle.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
The victim was transported to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he was treated and released with minor injuries.
The College Mound Fire Department, Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, and CareFlite also responded to the scene alongside the sheriff's office.
