KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of North Texas, including Kaufman County, until 3 a.m. on Saturday.
"Mainly sleet is expected, but some snow may mix with sleet later today," stated the National Weather Service. "Sleet accumulations up to one- quarter inch are expected."
Motorists should expect slippery elevated roads and bridges with potentially hazardous conditions impacting the evening commute.
"Drive with caution this afternoon and night!" stated the NWS.
