The change took effect Monday, August 1, 2016, after the Kaufman Police Department’s dispatch transitioned to the new Kaufman County Regional Communication Center.
The police department’s new non-emergency phone number is (469) 376-4598 and should be used to request a police officer for non-emergency related issues or questions, to file a report, or request animal control.
In case of an emergency, residents should continue to use 911.
For after hours emergency water or waste water related issues, a temporary number has been established at (469) 552 - 1366.
