FORNEY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death Monday morning on Travis Ranch Boulevard after a male was found deceased, according to Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Captain Fred Klingelberger.
FORNEY, Texas — The Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death Monday morning on Travis Ranch Boulevard after a male was found deceased, according to Kaufman County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Captain Fred Klingelberger.
Klingelberger says the incident is isolated and there is no cause for concern for area residents.
Emergency personnel were dispatched to the north end of Travis Ranch Boulevard at approximately 8:50 a.m. in regard to the incident. Police cordoned off an area on Travis Ranch Boulevard which extends into a nearby field.
Klingelberger says the male suffered at least one gunshot wound and a firearm was recovered from under his body.
A survey crew observed the male walk down the boulevard before discovering the body.
Klingelberger says the medical examiner’s office will perform an autopsy and determine the exact cause of death.
