FORNEY, Texas — Eastbound U.S. Highway 80 is experiencing major traffic delays due to several factors on Monday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., an 18-wheeler went off the road attempting to use the U.S. Highway 80 service road loop east of Lawson Road and became stuck in the mud. This incident caused onlooker delays on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 back into the Sunnyvale area.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., a three-vehicle crash was reported at the Kaufman-Dallas County line. No injuries were initially reported in the crash but emergency personnel have been dispatched.
As of 5:36 p.m., U.S. Highway 80 from the East Fork Trinity River in Kaufman County is experiencing delays back to the Interstate 635 interchange in Mesquite.
