KAUFMAN, Texas — A man died Saturday night of injuries sustained in an earlier rollover crash near Kaufman, Texas.
The man, later identified by authorities as 35-year-old Jeremiah Stevens of Kaufman, Texas, was reportedly rushing his daughter to the emergency room at the time of the crash, according to a GoFundMe account established for the family.
Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Staff Sergeant Kyle Bradford tells inForney.com the crash occurred at approximately 7:26 p.m. on County Road 101 which is located just east of Kaufman.
Stevns, driving a 2003 Ford Taurus, was traveling south on County Road 101 when, for as of yet to be determined reasons, lost control, swerved off the roadway, struck a fence, and overturned, according to Bradford.
Stevens was flown by CareFlite medical helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, where he later died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Another person in the vehicle was uninjured.

Bradford says troopers are still investigating the crash.
The Kaufman Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, CareFlite, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
