Man entrapped, critically injured in Terrell crash

TERRELL, Texas — A man was critically injured and entrapped following a crash in Terrell on Saturday morning.

TERRELL, Texas — A man was critically injured and entrapped following a crash in Terrell on Saturday morning.

At approximately 7 a.m., the Terrell Police Department, Terrell Fire Department, and CareFlite responded to the crash in the 1600 block of Griffith Avenue where a truck had crashed into the concrete railing of a bridge over Batchelor Creek.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the truck, had become entrapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters utilized extrication tools to remove the driver-side passenger door to extricate the man. He was later flown by CareFlite helicopter to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
