ELMO, Texas — A Dallas, Texas, man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 80 in Elmo, Texas, on Saturday.

ELMO, Texas — A Dallas, Texas, man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 80 in Elmo, Texas, on Saturday.

63-year-old Larry D. Kennedy was traveling on U.S. Highway 80 when his vehicle, a Nissan Versa, left the roadway for a yet to be determined reason and struck a pile of gravel, according to Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson Sergeant Kyle Bradford.

Bradford says Kennedy was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, CareFlite, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash.
