FORNEY, Texas — A motorcyclist was injured Friday morning after crashing over a bridge guardrail in Forney.
FORNEY, Texas — A motorcyclist was injured Friday morning after crashing over a bridge guardrail in Forney.
The crash was reported at approximately 9:25 a.m. on the Windmill Farms overpass and the south service road of U.S. Highway 80 just outside the Forney City limits.
The motorcyclist struck the bridge guardrail and went over the edge and down approximately 10 feet onto the highway embankment below.
The motorcyclist was taken by ground ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition. A firefighter was onboard at the time of transport.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, CareFlite, the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) responded to the crash. The TxDPS is investigating the cause of the crash.
