FORNEY, Texas — A motorcyclist was injured on Friday night after striking a dog on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548.

FORNEY, Texas — A motorcyclist was injured on Friday night after striking a dog on Farm-to-Market (FM) 548.

The Forney Police Department, Forney Fire Department, and CareFlite were dispatched to the crash at 8:53 p.m. on Friday.

The crash occurred on FM 548 in between Melody Lane and Sycamore Trail.

A motorcyclist was traveling on FM 548 when he struck the dog which was walking in the roadway. He was transported by CareFlite ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with unknown injuries.

The dog’s owners were reportedly out searching for the dog at the time of the crash. The dog perished in the crash.
