ELMO, Texas — Nearly 400 Kaufman County residents are without power due to a fire on Friday afternoon.
The outages occurred in the area east of Terrell and Elmo and affect 377 Oncor customers.
The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass fire on U.S. Highway 80 which affected the power lines in the area. The fire has since been extinguished.
Oncor estimates the power will be restored by 7 p.m.
