FORNEY, Texas — No injuries were reported in an overnight fire that destroyed a Forney-area home.
Around midnight, the Forney Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 11200 block of Farm-to-Market (FM) 740. The home, located at the southeast corner of the intersection of FM 740 and Old Nacogdoches Trail, was fully involved upon firefighters arrival.
The residents of the home were able to escape the fire without injury.
Mutual aid was requested from several area fire departments from Crandall, Terrell, Seagoville, and Balch Springs. The American Red Cross of Kaufman County and the Kaufman County Fire Marshal's Office also responded to the scene.
