FORNEY, Texas — No injuries were reported after a Forney Independent School bus was struck by a van on Thursday afternoon.

Earlier today, in a separate incident, two students sustained what were described as minor injuries after a Kaufman ISD bus was involved in a wreck.

Just after 3:15 p.m., Forney ISD bus No. 21 was traveling eastbound on Farm-to-Market (FM) 741 when it was struck by a northbound traveling van at the intersection of FM 548.

The van struck the bus near the front door, according to Forney ISD spokesperson Larry Coker. The students exited the bus through the rear emergency door.

Its unknown if there were any injuries to any individuals inside the van.

In the Kaufman incident, district officials say the two students were taken to an area hospital and treated for minor injuries and were released a short time later.
