FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School Band Boosters program presented a $2,000 check to the Forney Police Department last week during the 5th annual Unity Bowl football game at City Bank Stadium.
FORNEY, Texas — The North Forney High School Band Boosters program presented a $2,000 check to the Forney Police Department last week during the 5th annual Unity Bowl football game at City Bank Stadium.
The band boosters held a “Back the Blue” fundraiser selling Back the Blue t-shirts. The fundraiser was part of the programs “Heroes fallen, never forgotten” theme for the year. The fundraiser also sold yard signs and window decals.
T-shirt purchasers were encouraged to wear their Back the Blue shirts during the Unity Bowl when the check was presented to the Forney Police Department.
“We would like to thank the North Forney Band Boosters for the generous donation that they presented to us during the Unity Bowl halftime,” the Forney Police Department stated on Facebook. “We appreciate your support!”
