KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several counties in north Texas, including Kaufman County, until 7 p.m.
The watch was issued was issued at 12:34 p.m. and includes 14 counties in north Texas: Collin, Dallas, Delta, Ellis, Fannin, Hopkins, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Navarro, Rains, Rockwall, and Van Zandt.
The Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A storm cell in Ellis County, around 12:40 p.m., was becoming more organized and stronger, according to the NWS. Quarter-size hail was indicated on radar near Midlothian.
