KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Kaufman County on Saturday.
KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Tornado Watch and Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Kaufman County on Saturday.
The Tornado Watch was issued at 5:10 p.m. for several north Texas counties including Kaufman County until 10 p.m.
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued at 5:04 p.m. until 6 p.m. for a line of storms which were tracking northeast from the Cottonwood area.
Hazards including possible 60 mile per hour wind gusts and quarter size hail.
“Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees,” stated the NWS.
Locations include Terrell, Kaufman, Mabank, Talty, Seven Points, Kemp, Grays Prairie, Cottonwood, Oak Grove, Post Oak Bend City, Rosser and Oak Ridge, as well as Interstate 20 between mile markers 493 and 511.
“For your protection get inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows,” stated the NWS.
