KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fort Worth, Texas, has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Kaufman County from late Monday night through Tuesday afternoon.
"A strong cold front will move through from north to south Monday afternoon and Monday night," stated the NWS. "Behind the front, light rain will change to a winter mix as temperatures fall below freezing before becoming all snow."
"Due to the very cold temperatures, just light accumulations of this wintry precipitation will cause hazardous and difficult travel conditions."
The NWS is advising drivers to plan accordingly due to expected difficult travel conditions, Monday night through Wednesday morning.
