FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating a double fatal head-on collision which occured on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 on Friday afternoon.
FORNEY, Texas — The Forney Police Department is investigating a double fatal head-on collision which occured on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641 on Friday afternoon.
The crash was reported at 4 p.m. on FM 1641 near its intersection with the new Gateway Boulevard.
An off-duty Dallas County Sheriff's Office deputy was pronounced deceased on scene, according to Forney Police Department spokesperson Detective Michael Clay. The deputy's name has not yet been released.
Another person was transported to Lake Pointe Emergency Services in Forney, Texas, where they were later pronounced deceased.
A third person was transported by CareFlite helicopter to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and is stable and alert at last check Friday night.
In total, Clay says three males were involved in the crash. The department is still investigating its cause.
