Law enforcement officials are advising residents to call their respective non-emergency dispatch numbers or text-to-911 in case of an emergency.
The Forney Police Department is advising residents to call (972) 564-7600.
The Terrell Police Department is advising residents to call (469) 474-2700.
The Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, which dispatches for the other area agencies in the county, is advising residents to call (469) 376-4500.
Those outside of Kaufman County should be advised text-to-911 may not be available in your area. Seek out your local law enforcement agency's non-emergency number in the event your jurisdiction is included in the outage.
