TERRELL, Texas — Wet road conditions continue to plague 18 wheelers trying to navigate Spur 557 in Terrell as officers work the eighth accident since yesterday morning.
Just after noon today, another truck jack-knifed on the spur causing traffic delays in both directions. No one was injured. Spur 557 is a short stretch of highway that connects U.S. Highway 80 and Interstate 20.
According to the Terrell police department they responded to seven calls on Monday. None of the accidents have caused any serious injuries.
Corporal Zachary Boyd, public information officer for the Terrell Police tells inForney.com that there are no plans to close the Spur at this time.
“Other than stopping traffic for the wrecker, there is no plans for closure,” Boyd said.
