COLLEGE MOUND, Texas — One person was airlifted early Sunday morning after crashing into a tree in the College Mound area.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., the College Mound Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, and CareFlite responded to a single-vehicle crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 where a pickup truck struck a tree.
The driver was seriously injured in the crash and airlifted by CareFlite to a Dallas-area hospital, according to the College Mound VFD.
