MCLENDON-CHISHOLM, Texas — One person was airlifted following a high-speed, head-on collision on State Highway (SH) 205 on Sunday afternoon in McLendon-Chisholm.
The crash occurred on SH 205 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 550 and involved three vehicles, according to the McLendon-Chisholm Fire Department.
One of the vehicles engulfed in flames with the driver still entrapped, according to the department. The driver was extricated using hydraulic tools and later airlifted to an area hospital.
The Rockwall Fire Department also responded as mutual aid and assisted in establishing a landing zone for the medical helicopter.
