FORNEY, Texas — One person has been airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital following a reported two-vehicle crash with entrapment near Forney on Tuesday evening.
The crash was reported on Farm-to-Market (FM) 740 near Old Nacogdoches Trail and Southern Cross Trail, south of the city limits of Forney.
One of the vehicles in the crash reportedly overturned — resulting in at least one person becoming entrapped.
A landing zone for the CareFlite medical helicopter was established in the Forney High School parking lot. One person was trasnported by ground ambulance from the scene of the crash to the parking lot where they were further transported by air to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Motorists should expect major delays in the area.
