FORNEY, Texas — One person was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital following a single-vehicle crash on Sunday night.
The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. and reportedly involved a vehicle traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 80 which veered off the highway and up the Farm-to-Market (FM) 460 overpass embankment where it struck a tree.
One adult passenger was airlifted by CareFlite medical helicopter to a Dallas-area hospital in unknown condition.
The north service road at FM 460 was temporarily closed while the helicopter landed on the service road.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The Forney Police Department is investigating the crash. The Forney Fire Department and Texas Department of Public Safety also responded to the scene.
