FORNEY, Texas — One person was injured in a rollover crash on Interstate 20 on Thursday night after being thrown from the vehicle.
The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 20 at the Helms Trail and Farm-to-Market (FM) 2932 exit. The driver of the vehicle was ejected when it overturned near the exit ramp and came to a rest on its side just off the shoulder of the highway.
The Forney Fire Department, Talty Police Department, Crandall Police Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Precinct 2 Contable’s Office, CareFlite, and the Mesquite Police Department and EMS responded to the crash.
The driver was taken by ambulance to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition.
The exit ramp was closed while emergency personnel were on scene and the right lane of the highway was closed while the Mesquite Police Department investigates the crash.
