FORNEY, Texas — One person was injured after a bus and a pickup truck collided on Monday in Forney.
Just before 1:30 p.m., the Forney Fire Department, CareFlite, Forney Police Department, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash in the 300 block of Farm-to-Market (FM) 548 in front of Game Stop and Starbucks.
A Forney Independent School District bus and a pickup truck collided, sending the pickup truck into the median between FM 548 and the Game Stop parking lot. The pickup truck had visible damage to the rear bed of the truck.
The bus was not carrying any students at the time of the crash, Forney ISD spokesperson Larry Coker confirmed to inForney.com.
A person in the pickup truck was transported to Baylor, Scott & White hospital in Sunnyvale, Texas, in unknown condition.
