KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — One person was injured in a four-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 20 on Friday night.

KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas — One person was injured in a four-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 20 on Friday night.

The crash was reported just after 7 p.m. in the backup of an earlier wreck on eastbound Interstate 20 which caused major delays from Farm-to-Market (FM) 429 to Terrell.

A vehicle reportedly struck the rear-end of another vehicle causing a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash while in slowed traffic for the earlier wreck. The driver was taken by CareFlite ambulance to Baylor, Scott & White in Sunnyvale, Texas, with non-life threatening injuries.

The Elmo Volunteer Fire Department, College Mound Volunteer Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety also responded to the crash.

As of 8:57 p.m., there were little to no traffic delays in the area.
