One injured in rollover crash on East Malloy Bridge Road

SEAGOVILLE, Texas — One person was injured in a rollover crash on East Malloy Bridge Road on Monday afternoon.

SEAGOVILLE, Texas — One person was injured in a rollover crash on East Malloy Bridge Road on Monday afternoon.

The crash was reported at approximately 3:45 p.m. on East Malloy Bridge Road near the north levee of the East Fork Trinity River.

A vehicle traveling southbound on East Malloy Bridge Road failed to maneuver a sharp curve in the road which leads over the north levee of the East Fork Trinity River, overturned down the road’s embankment, and came to a rest on the levee’s embankment.

Emergency personnel carried the driver of the vehicle on a backboard up the levee’s embankment to an awaiting CareFlite ambulance which transported the driver to a Dallas-area hospital. The driver’s current condition is unknown.

The Seagoville Police Department is investigating the crash.

The Forney Fire Department, Kaufman County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, Talty Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and an Acadian ambulance also responded to the crash.

As of 4:25 p.m., the northbound lane of East Malloy Bridge Road remains closed and police officers are directing traffic along the roadway.
