FORNEY, Texas — One person was injured following a rollover crash on the south service road of U.S. Highway 80 on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash was reported just before 3:40 p.m. on the south service road of U.S. Highway 80 near the entrance to the Luminant power plant.
A grey Lexus was traveling eastbound on the south service road when it appeared to have struck the side of a bridge over Buffalo Creek causing it to overturn several times before coming to a rest on its wheels in the middle of the service road.
The driver was transported to Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, and CareFlite responded to the crash.
The south service road was closed while emergency personnel were on scene.
