One person airlifted from major crash with entrapment on FM 2932

FORNEY, Texas — One person was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital early Thursday morning after a major crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 2932.

FORNEY, Texas — One person was airlifted to a Dallas-area hospital early Thursday morning after a major crash on Farm-to-Market (FM) 2932.

Just after midnight, the Forney Fire Department, Kaufman County Sheriff's Office, CareFlite, and the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the 10000 block of FM 2932 for a single-vehicle crash involving a Corvette.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported one person entrapped in the vehicle and requested a CareFlite medical helicopter. Additional fire department resources were dispatched to the scene to assist with a landing zone.

After extrication, one person was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas, in unknown condition. Another person was transported by ground ambulance to Baylor, Scott & White hospital in Sunnyvale.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
