FORNEY, Texas -- The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct mainlane closures on westbound U.S. Highway 80 overnight Thursday into Friday morning, weather permitting.
The closures will be conducted at the East Fork Trinity River in 15 minute intervals to allow crews to perform bridge testing.
Closures will begin at 10 p.m. on Thursday, August 24 and end no later than 6 a.m. on August 25, before rush-hour traffic, according to TxDOT.
"This is a low volume traffic time of day but any traffic on the road will have to wait in place for these 15 minute intervals so motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes," stated TxDOT representative Michelle Releford.
