KAUFMAN, Texas — Five owlets were dumped at Kaufman’s City Lake Park last night, according to the Kaufman Police Department.
The owlets were left in a cardboard box and discovered by someone on Tuesday night who called the Kaufman Police Department.
On Wednesday, the owlets were destined for Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Hutchins, Texas, according to the department.
In a photo update posted by the department on Facebook, the owlets appeared in better spirits after being washed and placed in a basket with a towel for warmth.
