TERRELL, Texas — A partial bridge and roadway collapse has forced the closure of Farm-to-Market (FM) 1392 west of Terrell.
Approximately 50 feet of roadway and a bridge reportedly collapsed just before 6 p.m., according to county officials. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The collapse occurred on FM 1392 near Quail Lane which is located west of Terrell and north of U.S. Highway 80.
Construction crews were working in the area however, officials have not said what caused the collapse.
FM 1392 has been closed in both directions.
The Kaufman County Office of Emergency Management and Texas Department of Transportation are en route to assess the damage. The Kaufman County sheriff's Office and the Terrell Volunteer Fire Department are on scene.
