FORNEY, Texas — A pickup truck veered off of U.S. Highway 80 on Thursday night and overturned on the service road shoulder.
FORNEY, Texas — A pickup truck veered off of U.S. Highway 80 on Thursday night and overturned on the service road shoulder.
The crash was reported at approximately 10:15 p.m. on eastbound U.S. Highway 80 just east of Windmill Farms Boulevard.
A pickup truck traveling eastbound veered off the highway, across the service road, and overturned in the median between the service road and the Union Pacific railroad which runs parallel to the highway.
A witness says the truck was traveling at a high rte of speed just prior to the crash.
The Forney Fire Department, Forney Police Department, CareFlite, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the crash scene.
Only minor injures were reported for the driver.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
